On February 12 the Blue Belles competed in a regional dance competition hosted by Showtime International and brought home a plethora of trophies. The Belles’ biggest, most challenging competitors were McKinney Boyd High School’s Bailadoras and and Forney High School’s Highsteppers. The Blue Belle Dance Officers competed in the Super Team size category and the Novelty, Pom, and Military dance genre categories. The officers won 1st place in all dance genres they competed in within their size category as well as Sweepstakes, Judges’ Award, Applause Award for Choreography and Originality for Novelty, Best of the Best Overall, Grand Champion Officers, Supreme Award for Officer Military, and Supreme Award for Officer Pom with an exciting win against Forney High School’s Officer Pom. The team won 1st place in all dance genres they competed in within their size category as well as Sweepstakes and Judges’ Award, Best of the Best Overall, and Grand Champion Team.
