Mr. Herring’s Aerospace Engineers got to visit the Fort Worth Aviation Museum before the Thanksgiving break. While the weather was cold, the engineers had a blast! They got to explore and experience 30 different aircraft used throughout history, climb into their cockpits, and explore the cargo spaces on some of the larger planes. Some of the planes that they got to see were a retired Blue Angel, a MiG-28 used in the original Top Gun, an F-14 Tomcat, a BT-13 that was used in WWII, and a CH-53 Sea Stallion. Inside the museum, students got to experience a life-size flight simulator, interactive models, and detailed plans and schematics for aircraft and the incredible engines that power them.
