On Friday’s game against Boswell the Weatherford high school cheerleaders wore purple to show support for Makayla Noble, a cheerleader at prosper high school. Makayla got into a severe spinal cord injury after a freak accident leaving her paralyzed from the chest down. Since the accident, cheerleaders across the country have been showing support for the athlete. The Makayla’s fight group has more than 42,000 members and her GoFoundMe page has raised more than $177,000. On Saturday Makayla went into the facebook group to announce she has complete feeling in her legs and that she’s very happy about it. Although it is undecided whether or not Makayla will be participating in cheerleading again, she is making a marvelous recovery and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead for this young woman.
