The Rain by Virginia Bergin

Introduction

A thrilling Sci-fi about poisoned rain. Only .27% of the population will survive.  Ruby is a rebellious teen who is left to her own devices when she gets separated from her step-father.

My Thoughts

All-in-all I thought that The Rain was an amazing book that takes you on a little adventure through an apocalyptic world through the mind of a fifteen year old girl. It has high and low points, discovery and loss. Ruby is a bit immature, but it is acceptable since she is young. The strange butterfly censorship really brings a sense of innocence to this book of terror and agony. The book in general is amazing and would be a great summer read.
