Love is in the air at WHS as February rolls in; guys doused in cologne to impress and girls batting their pretty eyelashes. Quite frankly many of these budding couples won’t last after the Valentine’s celebrations settle down. Both science teachers, Ty and Nicole Comstock graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1989.
“We met in college, actually in a biology class,” said Mrs. Comstock proudly.
Apparently it was love-at-first sight for the couple as they were happily married the year following graduation. Mr. and Mrs. Comstock have been teaching at Weatherford High School for several years; both followed their love for the sciences as Mr. Comstock now teaches Anatomy and Physiology, and not to mention the head Softball and Cross Country coach and Mrs. Comstock teaches AP Physics.
“He loves me, and he puts his family first,” said Mrs. Comstock when asked about her favorite aspect of her husband. The couple has two daughters, one a senior here at Weatherford High School and the other attending Kansas State.
The Comstocks have a rather interesting way of celebrating Valentine’s Day. When asked of the two’s plans for the upcoming holiday, Mrs. Comstock stated, “[we are] breaking up, but we’ll get back together when the candy goes on sale.”
