The Boys and Girls Roo Golf teams have showcased their talent this fall, achieving commendable results in recent competitions and setting the stage for a promising season.
The Lady Roos began their season with an impressive 3rd place finish at the Fall Dinosaur Classic in Glen Rose this past September. Building on that momentum, the team excelled in their most recent tournament, securing 4th place. A standout performance came from Freshman Ava Cordary, who demonstrated her skill and potential by finishing 4th individually with a solid round of 80 (8+). Cordary’s strong play highlights a bright future for the team as they progress through the season.
The boys’ team also made a strong showing at the Spartan Two-Day Invitational in Burleson, where they claimed third place. Sophomore Carter Bruton was a key contributor, finishing 8th individually with an impressive two-day total of 156. Bruton’s top-10 finish was instrumental in propelling the team up the leaderboard.
Both the Roos and Lady Roos have shown they can compete at a high level, positioning themselves well for a competitive and successful fall season. With young talents like Ava Cordary and Carter Bruton leading the way, WHS Golf is a team to watch as they develop and achieve.
