Many people complain about school traffic being chaotic due to a large number of students, parents, and buses cramming into a small, congested area.
Several students feel that the school must be designated to handle the volume of cars and buses arriving- and leaving – simultaneously.
For those who drive, navigating through the congestion first thing in the morning or after school can be frustrating and stressful, especially if they are in a rush.
Many feel impatient with the slow moving lanes of cars, buses getting in the way and other students having to walk. Students often find it annoying, especially when it causes them to be late for school, after school activities, or work.
“Most of the time I am always late to painting lessons because I have to wait for my parents to be able to get in the school and find a spot to pick me up,” said a student sophomore who did not want to be quoted, “then leaving is even more chaotic.”
On the other hand, students, especially the ones who don’t drive, are less concerned with traffic, but still feel the impact in some way, like waiting longer for their ride, or buses, or getting home at a later time than usual.
“Instead of getting home at a decent time like last year, I end up getting home almost by dinner time, and i don’t get to spend as much time with my family,” said a junior student who did not want to be named.
The traffic makes many people, from parents, students, teachers, and bus drivers, feel frustration and impatient, wishing for quicker and more efficient ways to leave school and get on with their day.
