What are you involved in at WHS?
I’m involved at Weatherford High School in NHS, SNHS, DECA, FCA, Roo Crew, and Roo Soccer.
What position do you play in soccer?
I’ve played nearly every position, but I primarily play defensive midfielder.
What does it take to join Roo Soccer?
One of the most important things about getting into the Roo Soccer program is being dedicated to the sport and being ready to play with RDH: respect, discipline, and hard work.
How did you start playing soccer?
I started playing soccer when I was 3 at first because my dad was a soccer coach and my mom also played soccer. I’ve been playing ever since.
What advice would you give to upcoming soccer players at WISD?
The advice I would give to an upcoming soccer player is to just go all in and be competitive in everything you do. That’ll make you and your teammates better no matter what you’re doing.
What has been your favorite moment playing soccer?
My favorite moment playing soccer was beating North Crowley last year 1-0. At the time, they were at the top of our district and we had been struggling, so it felt amazing to finally get a win despite all odds being against us, especially because of how well we played as a team.
Who inspired you to play?
My dad has definitely been my biggest inspiration to start playing, but he also inspires me to be the best player I can be and push myself.
What are you doing after high school?
After high school, I plan to go to college somewhere and get a business degree, as well as finding somewhere to keep playing soccer!
