The WHS Academic UIL team competed at the Brock Invitational “A” Speech and Academic Tournament on Friday, January 17th. With sponsors rebuilding teams after a number of excellent and experienced seniors graduating following last year’s District 3-6A Runner-Up finish, the team is very young, however with these results, they are hard workers and learning as much as they can.
“I love getting to further my relationships with my friends and even my teachers through academics and sharing our intellect is a memory that will follow me after high school.” said Jenna Karcher. Ella Jester added “ What I love most about UIL is spending time with my friends as we grow academically. I’ve learned so much more about literary terms than I ever thought possible.”
