On Tuesday, November 17, the WHS Counseling Department will be hosting College Financial Aid 101. The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria, and will focus on preparing seniors and their families for the college application and financial aid process.

The evening will focus on several topics related to financial aid including: how financial aid eligibility is determined, how to maximize grants and scholarships, & how to understand your award letter.

Head counselor Kathy Barakis believes that parents and students will benefit greatly from this informative presentation.

“Figuring out how to pay for college is a difficult process, and it is an expensive process,” Barakis said. “You need to find out as much as you can, to see if you qualify for any help.”
