Thursday, Jan. 29 — The Lady Roos basketball team defeated Crowley 56-41. The teams were tied, sending the game into overtime. Jada Martin hit three 3-pointers in four minutes to lead her team to victory. “Those shots were important and gave everyone energy,” Martin said. Madison Burch added 19 points and 16 rebounds, contributing to the team’s win. “I felt really happy,” she said.

Friday, Jan. 30 — The Roos Boy’s basketball team defeated Mansfield Legacy 57-52. Brady Mills said, “Everyone was happy.” Rondy Dunn added, “It was a good game, but we need more wins to make the playoffs.” Dunn scored 18 points.

Lady Roos have one district game left, and the Boy Roos have four remaining and are hoping for strong results.
