Weatherford ISD’s chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is holding an induction ceremony for new members on Feb. 24, 2026 at 6 P.M. in the Durant Auditorium.
Invitations were sent out in late December to juniors and seniors who have a GPA of at least 3.50, are members of the Career and Technical Student Organization, are enrolled in at least 2 Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses, and, according to NTHS sponsor Amanda Kenyon, “exhibit outstanding conduct and character.”
At the induction ceremony, current staff and members are recognized, and new members are individually called on stage to receive their certificate of membership.
NTHS is currently sponsored by CTE teachers Amanda Kenyon and Kevin Herring. The goal of the NTHS organization as a whole is to recognize and provide opportunities for students in the CTE program.
The main event planned for the 2026 school year is to organize the STEM night alongside the Science National Honor Society. The STEM night is a demonstration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematical concepts for younger students through games, activities, and experiments.
