On October 28th, the Weatherford GRIT program will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat for young students to come and learn more about the opportunities waiting for them once they get to high school.
“We want younger students to see the wide variety of opportunities within the GRIT programs and understand that they can explore their interests through hands-on learning experiences. This is a chance to showcase the creativity, skill-building, and career exploration that our programs provide!” Said Trista Stueart, the GRIT president.
The GRIT students and teachers want this event to have a lasting impact on our Weatherford community and provide them with important information through a memorable, vibrant, and well-organized discussion session.
“Our goal for this event is to create a fun, family-friendly atmosphere that brings our community together while highlighting the amazing opportunities available through the GRIT programs! We hope students and families leave with a sense of excitement about our program!” Said Mrs. Stueart.
Many different groups within our school community will be providing aid to help this event run smoothly and will represent their clubs, associations, and career paths.
“All GRIT programs will be represented at the event. Our Ag students will also join us, Education and Training, and Cosmetology students will be engaging with the community through activities like free face painting, spray hair coloring, and pumpkin painting. Our BBQ team will be providing meals for purchase, and we’ll also have Kona Ice, Tom’s Coffee Truck, and Dulce Panda on site. Additionally, we’ll have a costume contest to make the evening even more festive!” Said GRIT President, Mrs. Stueart.
This will take place on October 28th, at the Weatherford Ninth Grade center from 6-8pm!
