As WHS approaches February 14th, sophomores Katy McMicheal and Austin Miller have been eager to celebrate with each other, dating for “one year and two months.” The zealous couple affections towards each other are stronger than ever. Even though they are both involved in extra curricular activities, Katy and Austin, both manage their time and spare the weekends for each other.

“Our favorite date was when we went to the Texas Rangers game for my birthday and went out to eat afterwards,”  said Katy cheerfully.

Katy, as a sophomore Lieutenant of the Blue Belles, is at the High School before 7 am every morning, working hard and motivating the team with her positive attitude. Her love for dance has flourished since 6th grade, where she has continued to express her talent with others ever since. Katy also works hard in the class room, striving to be an exceptional student.

“I love everything about her, and she makes me a better person” Austin said when asked what he likes best about Katy.

Austin is a member of the award winning Weatherford High School Fighting Roo Band. He plays the trumpet, practices year long, and is apart of Symphonic Band. He too, endeavors in his studies. Katy said her favorite thing about Austin is that “he has such a kind heart and would literally do anything for me.”

The busy couple seems to be a a strong piece to our #RooNation, yet seems to have a hashtag of their own #KANDJDREAMTEAM. It started off as a joke and then turned into a lasting tradition; every picture Austin posts with Katy, he uses this hashtag! You will see these cuties on the football field in the fall, and performing for competition in the spring and maybe even in the busy hallways in between classes!
