The stars are aligned for these two. The countdown to Valentine’s Day is getting shorter as the love in the air grows stronger and stronger! Juniors, Ashland Rector and Ryan Carper, highlight the true examples of the importance of relationships as they have been dating since January 25th of 2015, and have been inseparable since! This super cute couple creates the most simple yet unique ways of expressing their affection for each other.

“Our favorite time spent together was when we took a snow skiing trip to Keystone, Colorado with my family,” Ashland stated.

When asked how their relationship began, Ryan answered, “We were hanging out at my house, stargazing, and I asked her to be mine.

Both Ashland and Ryan are members of North Side Baptist Church, where they attend all of the camps and retreats the youth group as to offer, together.

“His faith in God is what made me fall in love with him,” said Ashland.

Ashland is a member of the WHS Blue Belles as well as National Honor Society, while Ryan participates in football, powerlifting, and tractor tech. Even though they are both very involved in several extra-curricular activities, they keep their spare time for each other whenever possible.

Ashland said, “We go to Chili’s a lot because he knows I love it and he’ll go wherever to make me happy.”

When asked what they love most about each other, Ashland answered, “the way he can always make me laugh,” while Ryan stated it was her “beautiful smile.”
