Weatherford High School’s varsity tennis team is headed to the state semi-finals. The Roos beat Arlington Martin yesterday 10-6, ensuring their spot in the next round.
Hard work has paid off for this year’s team, and they are looking to keep the same intensity in their postseason play. Head tennis coach Keeley McLarty was proud of the way his team performed.
“They did well,” McLarty said. “It was a close match, but they played well.”
The team is preparing for its next match, which they will play against Arlington Martin this Friday, October 5. The match will begin at 4 p.m., and will be held in Arlington.
