Blue Belles Spring Show

Blue+Belles+Spring+Show

The WHS Blue Belles will be performing their annual spring show Bright Lights, Belle City in Durant Auditorium on April 12, 2014. The Belles will perform two shows; with the first starting at 2p.m. and the second at 7p.m. Tickets are currently being sold in advance for $5, and will be available at the door for $7.

Inspired by Broadway and the recent Belles trip to New York City, the show will incorporate many different styles of dance and performance, but can all be traced back to the world famous “Great White Way”.  The ladies will be presenting their  individual interpretations of Broadway hits from Wicked, Chicago, Annie, Momma Mia, and many more.

Blue Belle captain Julia Szabuniewicz is excited to show off all the hard work the Belles have put into the spring show, but she is equally sad to see her time with the 33rd line come to an end.

“It’s more of a melancholy feeling,” Szabuniewicz said.  “It’s definitely weird to think it will be my last spring show, and it makes me sad I wont be with such a great team of girls next year.  At the same time, it marks a  new beginning for the next team and my transition into college and becoming a Forever Belle. I’m excited for [spring] show and as captain, seeing my team perform their best and show off what we’ve been working on all year will most definitely be my proudest moment.”

As the Belles wrap up the their year, they invite students, parents, faculty and community members to come see the last Blue Belle performance of the year.
