The Lady Roo softball team continued to advance in the playoffs Friday, after beating Keller Timber Creek four to three in the first round.

The Lady Roos played well, with junior Ashleigh Erb having doubled in the sixth, and hit a home run in the fourth.  Defensively, junior pitcher Kelsey O’Brien turned in a sold performance, allowing only one earned run on eight hits, and only one walk throughout the game.

“The last three years our softball team has gone to the playoffs and never made it past the first round,” O’Brien said.  “This year is the first year we have advanced.

The ladies will continue their playoff run this Friday against Lubbock Coronado in San Angelo, TX.  Game one will take place at Angelo State University at 7 p.m., and game two will be played on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.  There will also be a third game at 2:00 p.m. if necessary.
