Following a virtual three ring circus of a pep rally, complete with clowns, a lion, dancers, and acrobats, the Weatherford Roos came out to play some serious football. With fans in the stands and the team on the field, the Roos entered the stadium through the Mighty Roo Tunnel under a beautiful August sunset.
Although Coronado had driven a long way, they were not up to the challenge to defeat the Kangaroos.
The crowd excited about starting the season with one in the “W” (win) column, sang the school song with great pride.
The Roos will face Irving Nimitz this week in Irving on Friday night, following the JV game on Thursday here at home. Come out and support WHS!
