Phillip Phillips, best known for winning the eleventh season of American Idol in 2012, has a new single out called Raging Fire. The track is coming ahead of his new album Behind the Light, which will drop on May 19 of this year.

Compared to his hit single Home, which became one of the best selling songs of 2012, his sound on Fire has changed slightly. Home has a more mellow sound, while Raging Fire is a bit more up-tempo and fun.

This new single, being different from his older songs, might not be for fans married to Phillips’ former sound, but this is a song definitely worth a listen for most fans of the folk genre.
